Scholarships & Fellowships for Education~Teaching Degrees & Credentials
The United States needs more qualified secondary and universtiy-level teachers over the next 25 years! Because of this need and the commitment many organizations have to improving education in America, scholarships and fellowships have been created specifically for those interested in pursuing a teaching career.
Teaching scholarships can be found at the national and local level from charitable foundations, businesses, and professional associations. Some teaching scholarships are geared specifically for students pursing teaching at a particular subject, level of school, or special student population. Local awards may be less competitive and should be pursued first. In addition, professional groups that are aligned with your area of interest in teaching may have scholarships that fit you perfectly. Many of the listed organizations below – already have specific award application due dates posted within the Scholarship Option “Calendar Section”. You can search by “Due Date”.
