Being Prepared to “Prove” that You know what you are Doing!
One of the biggest stumbling blocks for scholarship applicants is that many times – the student is asked to “prove” that he/she actually knows how to do “something.” In the case of teachers who seeking funding to upgrade their credentials – or move into the administrative ranks – many times they are asked to show how they use technology in the classroom as an example. There are many great resources on the Internet, but I think that EduHound.com has the most complete collection of teacher-friendly templates out there. Templates serve the aspiring student putting together a project or a teacher wishing to produce a new way of learning a particular topic. And it is the use of these templates that allow the student or teacher “step through the process of production…” and therefore prove that they know how to do “this or that” when applying for an award.
You can find a lot of these very helpful templates at:

The bottom line for any applicant – do not list a project or an event on your application – unless you can show that you know how to put it together, how it is produced, what elements are involved, etc. But if you can show others how you produced and/or planned for “this or that”… then there are many foundations and organizations that will reward you and help you with your college education.
